How does KangarooPerks work?

You sign up, set your reward (like "10 stamps earns a free coffee"), and get a QR code to display at your counter. When a customer visits, they scan the code with their phone camera. A digital stamp is added to their card. When they reach your stamp threshold, the reward unlocks on their phone and they show the screen to claim it.

Do my customers need to download an app?

No. Customers scan the QR code with their phone's built-in camera, which opens a web page. No app download, no account creation required. They just enter their email on the first visit to start tracking stamps.

How do customers get their stamps?

The customer scans your QR code on each visit. The first time, they enter their email address to set up their digital stamp card. After that, they just scan and the stamp is added automatically. One stamp per visit, per calendar day.

What happens when a customer earns a reward?

When a customer reaches your stamp threshold, a reward screen appears on their phone showing what they earned. They show this screen to you or your staff to claim the reward. After redemption, a new stamp card starts automatically for their next cycle.

Can a customer get more than one stamp per day?

No. The system allows one stamp per customer per calendar day at each business. If a customer visits in the morning and again in the evening, the second scan will show their progress but won't add a duplicate stamp.

Is KangarooPerks really free?

Yes. The core loyalty program is free to use. You get a QR code, a dashboard, stamp tracking, and automatic reward redemption at no cost. No credit card required to get started.

How do I set up my QR code?

After signing up, you choose your business name, your reward, and how many stamps are needed to earn it. KangarooPerks generates a QR code for you instantly. You can download it as a PNG, or print a branded poster directly from the QR code page.

Can I change my reward after I set it up?

Yes. You can update your reward description and stamp threshold from your dashboard at any time. Changes apply to new stamp cards going forward. Customers who are partway through an existing card keep their current progress.

What data do I get about my customers?

Your dashboard shows total active customers, stamps given in the last 30 days, rewards claimed, and a list of customers with their visit frequency, last visit date, and current stamp progress. You can see who is coming back and who has gone quiet.

How do I know the stamps are legitimate?

Every customer verifies their email address on their first scan, which prevents fake signups. The system limits stamps to one per calendar day per customer, so rapid scanning is not possible. Each stamp event is logged with a timestamp for your records.

What if a customer loses their phone or switches devices?

Stamps are tied to the customer's email address, not their device. If they scan from a new phone or clear their browser, they just enter their email again and all their existing stamps are still there.

Do I need any special hardware?

No. You need a printed QR code on your counter and that's it. No tablet, no NFC reader, no POS integration. The customer's own phone does all the work.
